I thought my story was over.
Years ago, I believed I had disqualified myself from any kind of future that mattered.
My choices. My shame. My past.
It all felt like a permanent sentence.
But then God stepped in.
The world labels you based on where you’ve been. But God names you based on where you’re going.
He is the Author and the Finisher—not just of your faith, but of your future. And He is a Master at rewriting the most broken stories into redemptive masterpieces.
Maybe your past feels too heavy. Maybe people have counted you out—or maybe you’ve counted yourself out.
But hear me: God hasn’t.
“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story.” —Psalm 107:2 (NIV)
When we let God rewrite our story, we don’t erase the past—we redeem it.
He takes the pain and gives it purpose.
He takes the trauma and brings triumph.
He turns the mess into a message—not for our glory, but for His.
I am living proof that God can take what was meant for destruction and turn it into a testimony that sets others free.
You are not too far gone.
Your past does not disqualify you.
Your future is still in His hands.
Let this be the week you surrender the pen and let the Author of Life take over.
Reflection Questions
- What part of my story have I been ashamed to share?
- Where do I still believe my past disqualifies me?
- How has God already begun to redeem parts of my life—and how can I share that story?
Prayer
Father, thank You for never giving up on me. I surrender every chapter of my life to You—the ones filled with regret and the ones I still don’t understand. Rewrite my story for Your glory. Use my testimony to bring hope, healing, and freedom to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
