There’s a shaking happening in the Church—and it’s not without purpose.
We’re witnessing scandals, moral failures, and cover-ups being brought into the light. It’s painful. It’s uncomfortable. But it’s also prophetic. God is exposing what has been tolerated for far too long—not to condemn, but to redeem.
We serve a God who sees. And in His mercy, He reveals what we are unwilling to confront.
The Bible says judgment begins in the house of God (1 Peter 4:17), not to destroy—but to cleanse and purify. Exposure is not punishment. It’s the beginning of healing. And if we let it, it can lead to a beautiful repentance that restores both leaders and those they’ve harmed.
This isn’t about cancel culture—it’s about Kingdom culture. It’s about integrity, accountability, and humility.
I know what it feels like to be betrayed by people who wore the name of Christ but didn’t carry His character. I also know the power of God to redeem what people tried to destroy.
The Church needs more than image maintenance—we need holy fire. We need shepherds who lead like Jesus, not performers who platform themselves.
If you’ve been wounded by church leaders or disillusioned by hypocrisy, I want to remind you: God still sees you. And He still loves His Church.
Let the exposure lead us into honesty. Let justice bring comfort to the wounded. And let redemption rebuild what religion broke.
Reflection Questions:
- Have I been hurt or silenced by leadership failures in the Church?
- What does true repentance look like, and how do I extend grace while still honoring truth?
- How can I be part of the solution—walking in integrity and interceding for healing in the Body of Christ?
Prayer: Father, I bring the pain and disillusionment from failed leadership before You. Heal what has been broken, and expose anything in me that needs to be brought into the light. Raise up leaders with clean hands and pure hearts. Let Your justice roll like a river, and let redemption flood every dry place in the Church. In Jesus’ name, amen.
